A reality gap

I thought that a month of hard studying and I would be able to catch up with my classmates. A month of hard studying later I have realized that though my test scores are better than their test scores, they know a hell of a lot more than I do and I am an awful long way away from catching up.

You know a lot of stuff. They will forget. Just because you didn't know somethig before it never stopped you. You are a sharp guy, you will get what you want. Keep up the good stuff. AJ is now married.

Catching up implies you're in a race. Which U R not. Pace yourself & you will find that what U need 2 know is on stride. However, don't equivocate your ability to absorb knowledge with the outcome of the NL Wild Card Race...............

No sweat. Now you get to master the art of "redirecting" the conversation.

Example:

"Arboreal phylogeny? Well, based on my -- hey, look at that shiny red car over there!" ;)

That's why I majored in philosophy, where they take it easy on that whole "knowing things" stuff. In fact, I wrote whole papers on what it means to "know something". Meta-knowledge is always easier than knowledge.

Suggestion: Change your post-graduate studies to sociology or education.

Will you be in Montana at Christmastime? Cynthia and I are going to go to Florida and get concealed-carry permits.
