North Korea Pics

I'm fascinated by North Korea and here are some pics from a Russian guy:

Part1
Part2
Part3
Part4

Update: Part 5

I understand they are mainly from the showcase city Pyongyang. Check out the subway and compare to Taipei's MRT.

Any comments from our blog's Korean expers would be most welcome.

Good Pix Red, Stuff we would never see otherwise. Must be a living hell being a citizen there. Nobody seems to be on the roads or sidewalks. Can't spot any real commerce. Everyone must be home quietly planning their escape route thru N. China with hopes of making it to S. Korea. I like the lone traffic "cop" hangin' out in the middle of the desolate intersection directing the 6 cars of "traffic" per hour which come thru. Meanwhile "King Kim" sits on his fat ass in some Presidential Palace sippin' cognac and eating Big Mac's that his cronies have smuggled in from China. (along with the Western porn DVD's) That prick makes Castro seem like an angel. Imagine what the gulags must be like for those who dare to think about anything other than his status as a demi-god.

Actually, I found a site that had smuggled videos of people being tried and executed in North Korea on the border region with China...very scary stuff.

They would actually be erecting the posts for the firing squad to use before the verdict was delivered.

Also taped up the mouths so there would be no last second yelling of anti-government slogans...

that should read in our two countries...apparently the use of prepositions and verbs has altered some as well, likely due to the fact that i can't distinguish por and para in spanish half the time.

You could go to N. Korea if you are obsessed with it, this summer they are opening it up to westerners:
