France & Taiwan
France is once again shaming the United States with her morally superior and nuanced foreign policy:
And, I wonder if the Taipei Times editors will again call for a boycott of French products.
That's right - France supports the Chinese invasion of democratic Taiwan and wants to arm China to assist in this effort. This seems awful unilateral - I wonder if they've cleared this with the EU and the UN security council?At the outset of a three-day visit to China, French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin said he supported Beijing's "anti-secession" law on Taiwan, and vowed to keep pushing for an end to an EU arms embargo that could open the door for Paris to sell weapons to the Asian giant.
And, I wonder if the Taipei Times editors will again call for a boycott of French products.
