After months of toil and frustration Hannibal is now officially set to appraise your land, tractors and farm animals. While its definitely a sinecure, we're not sure that it can compete with being a cop in Taiwan.
Over 100 policemen with mental disorders are in service and cannot be fired or layed off, thanks to the Civil Servants Protection Law. As the policemen with mental problems are considered bombs that may go off anytime and anywhere, they therefore are not allowed to carry guns when on duty. At least, not until one killed himself and another killed his girlfriend while on duty. To prevent further tragedies, the National Police Agency prohibits them from carrying firearms and "monitors" them closely. But not closely enough to stop them from making a few extra bucks. One of the mentally-handicapped officers decided to pick up some scratch by driving in the lead of a funeral procession after charging the family $5,000 NT. No word as to if he collected overtime.

Congrats Jimbo, I'm sure you can convince buyers that cracked foundations are part of the hot/cold air exchange system. Cracks provide excellent ventalation for damp basements.
"Mental" police with job security, and no one shoots at you. Sounds like a clever loop hole. Officier drives to his home town " I was out on patrol.." What did they expect him to say " Gas is too expensive"
