Map your experiences
Found this cool link which finally encouraged me to actually count how many countries I've been to. It will generate a map which shades in the countries you've visited, though be warned. I was certain I had visited more than 27% of the countries on the list (Taiwan is included!), but the facts speak differently. I need to spend more time in Europe and the Caribbean apparently. What I can't figure out is why Taiwan and Palestine are included (as is Western Sahara), but the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus is not. Only W.S. is recognized by the UN (not sure about Palestine's status these days), yet they lack a government, are ruled by Morocco (when Algeria isn't bombing them) and don't have a seat at the table. Strange. I'm bumping myself up to 28% on account of having been there.

Mr. Bread it is not where you go, But what friendly people you meet when you get there. 27% ? 50/50 We know it ain't 6/49. " They can smell it, I smell".
Oh! look there is a dead horse lets go poke it with a stick. the wheels just fell off the band wagon . oh well. What is Spain like?
Taiwan (ROC) is recognized by several governments, and is de facto independent. Palestine is recognized by several more governments, and the UN gives it precedence over any other non-member, although it is not treated as a state. The TRNC is not recognized by anyone (except Turkey, of course), and all UN and EU intervention in Cyprus is predicated on a unified government. The UN does not recognize the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, but the African Union does. The SADR does control a portion of the territory, called the Free Zone. In fact, it controls a greater percentage of its claimed territory than does the ROC (which claims Mainland China, Tibet, Xinjiang, and Mongolia.) Anyhoozle, read about it at Wikipedia for more.
What the fuck was that?? Its nice to know professors are now reading the blog!! Well done NiHowdy!! I feel fucking stupid on this site now , im going to study!! Frenchie
what part of western sahara do they control? i´ve been there and i assure you morocco is under full control, along with some blue hats, unless something has changed in the past three years.
and if soverignty is a prerec, turkish cypriots might argue (accurately) that they have full control over their region, un be dammed.
also, taiwan gave up soverignty over mongolia two years ago...get your facts at nihowdy.com
but don´t get your spelling lessons here -- did i just spell sovereignty wrong twice?
We're very modern about spelling conventions here at nihowdy. Figure if you can still guess the word with a couple beers in ya, it's done bin spelt correct.
I managed to fit 8% on the scoring, but really need to hit Africa and South America to bring up my score. Damn.
Wow, Brett, 28% is pretty high. I did my family on that map, and I think we have travelled a lot. And we only scored 20% My father has been to Greenland and Antarctica. Post your map, I would love to see it. Myself I managed to cover a measly 7%. But I can assure you, I was drunk at least once in all 17 countries.
P.S. Brett, A.J. Burnett is not even listed as a top 100 fantasy keeper this year. Will you be keeping him? Do you need a third basemen?
On more thing, Frenchie hit the books!
pimp,
you have one chance...a multiplayer deal including young. you need keepers...i have too many. howard, lidge and burnett for young? that might be somehthin i would be open too.
To be honest, I'm pretty happy with four of my keepers,
Young, Bay, Utley, Ramirez, and I'm trying to trade for a fifth.
I do agree that that would be an excellent trade and let me work on it. You have to admit though that my four keepers are great. I have bonds, but Elliot says we need to keep at least one pitcher. I don't have one. I only like Burnett cause I'm a huge Jays fan.
Are you interested in Bonds?
the only player you have that interests me is young....
