I GOT CRABS

No, not the ones you get from toilet seats. These were from the beach around Wuci, a little north of Taichung Harbour. Yes, harbour has a "u" in it. A nice place to waste a weekend afternoon, especially with kids and/or some beer.

Apparently, many locals deep fry and eat them. We took them home and crabocide resulted.

One step ahead of Bread is this comment from Chipper Jones, regarding the WBC:
“Just way too many days off,” he said. “We stayed in Toronto for a week and played three games. I don’t know if you ever stayed in Toronto, but it’s not exactly Las Vegas. To say that we were plucking our eyebrows out one at a time would be an understatement."
Obviously, Chipper has never been to Brockville.

AIG fiasco is a freakin' joke.

My dad sent this to me. Tell me, who doesn't love hockey?

Cranberries?

WOO HOO! The New York Football Giants upset America's Team on Sunday, 21 - 17. It was a close game and came down to the final play when Mr. Jessica Simpson threw a pick in the endzone to seal the cowgirls' fate. Our own Hole was busy and couldn't make it. ( can't wait to hear this one!) THE Manning was efficient, and the vaunted G-Men defense was the difference. Bring on the Pack! In other, less important, playoff games, the Chargers upset the Colts. Looks like I will be taking the Super Bowl off work after all.

Bonus HOWIGATI. ( seems people liked the last one)

The Pineapple Gang-Taichung Chapter

The Pineapple Gang had their bi-monthly meeting at the Sun Moon Lake Clubhouse recently.

Was a leisurely drive up the mountains, with a stop in Puli for lunch. BTW, Sun Moon Lake was brutal. The powers that be decided to lower the level of the lake by about 15 feet, exposing previously unseen mud. A Saturday night in July and the place was practically deserted. We took advantage of the quiet to enjoy a few brews and some other refreshments on the waterfront, which wasn't so bad. Then off to the finest, cheapest love motel in the village (thanks to our fearless leader, Danger Dave). With pink decor in one room and purple in the other, it made for fine accomodations. If you ever have the chance to stay there, don't. Although it did feature a scratched up tv and a fine view of the boulevard, it wasn't enough to make up for the lack of a balcony.

Monday Night...

Here are some photos from last weekend. The food fest at Sogo was excellent. Hot weather, rockin' tunes, cold beer and hot chicks made it a great day, indeed. Sunday was Trey's 2nd birthday party. He had a great time with Kaia, Kayden and Ivo. Thanks to all for gifts and the cake from Sian.

And a HOWIGATI:
