Cricket. What were they doing when they thought of this game?

Here is a sport. This guy is one of the worlds best bowlers. So they gave him a bat and a mask.cricket fan
These are some of the many fans. Don't they look rowdy. Check out those clothes. What if these sports were contrasted with baseball. Someone could compare football and rugby (but they are clearly both sports with fans). Make a comment. Say whatever phrase or rule or snipet you know about this game. TRY.

    I am not going to be eating danish. Cricket 3 days what is the longest lasting baseball game? 3 days sounds like someone got confused with the sundial. could that be that they play for 15 hours over 3 days. (it ain't 72H).
    Wicket is a term in this game. Wicked is not. When do the mannly men in white run for the base. Does the ball have seams? Does anyone strike out?

    longest ball game 8H 6 min. chicago vs milwauke 1984. 25 innings. Most innings per game is 26. blah vs baah 1920

    I have been corrected this Kevin guy is a "batsman" and not a "bowler". I wonder if he is a designated hitter. Perhaps he also stands around in a huge field trying to stop ground balls like little league batting practice. It should not be called a bat, how about a paddle or an oar. Yeah, Oar man, and paddle back. Corked paddles is it an issue in cricket?
